At Baton Rouge Cheer Academy, we pride ourselves on being a premier athletic program, where our dedicated squad, the Baton Rouge Cheer Stars, is committed to excellence, embodying our motto: “Excellence in Every Cheer.” We offer a range of teams for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced (Levels 1-4), catering to young athletes aged 4-16. Our Team Placement event is scheduled for April 20th, with a nominal tryout fee of $25 per participant.
Tryout Schedule:

Beginners (0-1 year experience): 9:30 AM

Intermediate (2-3 years experience): 11:00 AM

Advanced (4+ years experience): 1:00 PM

As one of the leading cheer academies in the country, BR Cheer Academy is dedicated to providing the best possible cheerleading experience.

We offer a wide variety of classes and clinics, including tumbling, stunts, and dance, to help our athletes become well-rounded performers. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced athlete, we have a program that's right for you.
Teamwork is a valuable skill that is taught and learned in our academy classes, as well as, good sportsmanship, goal setting and how to develop a win-win attitude.

At BR Cheer Academy, our experienced staff, who are all former collegiate and competitive cheerleaders, is dedicated to helping each child achieve their individual and team goals. We believe that teamwork, dedication, and hard work are key elements to success, whether in cheerleading or any other aspect of life. Our academy provides an environment where children can not only learn the fundamental skills of cheerleading, but also develop important character traits that will positively impact their lives.

Our trophy case boasts more than enough awards to fill our gym, but we are most proud of the life lessons that we have been able to instill in our athletes. We provide a safe, supportive environment where athletes can learn teamwork, discipline, and dedication.
The founder, Shawn Lagarde, has over 20 years of experience in the industry, bringing the latest in cheer, gymnastics, tumbling, and choreography to our students. Our top priority is to provide a safe environment where students can learn and grow in their skills while building confidence and self-esteem along the way.
